Eshetu Getachew
Founder
Founded in 2013 by tour operator Eshetu Getachew Abera, Rotate Ethiopia Tours specializes in organizing custom tours to Ethiopia’s most remarkable destinations.
Eshetu—affectionately known as “Eshe”—is a native Ethiopian who was born and raised in Lalibela, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its 11 monolithic rock-hewn churches. He later moved to Axum, another UNESCO-registered historical city, to study engineering. Driven by his passion for Ethiopian heritage and travel, Eshetu relocated to Addis Ababa to study Tour Operation and Management.
Today, he stands among the leading tour operators in Addis Ababa, offering a wide range of personalized tours across the country, from cultural and historical experiences to nature and adventure-focused journeys.

Hello, I’m Kate!
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I first visited Ethiopia and instantly fell in love with its beauty, culture, and people. That journey led me to connect with Eshetu Getachew Abera, and together we founded Rotate Ethiopia Tours.
Now based in Addis Ababa, I travel frequently between the USA, Europe, Asia, and Africa, promoting Rotate Ethiopia Tours and organizing unforgettable experiences for travelers from around the world. As co-founder, I work closely with Eshetu to design and manage custom tours, helping visitors explore the best of Ethiopia with passion and authenticity.
